BLA Rope – Silver CoilsSilver rope (polyethylene staple) is the most popular general purpose rope. 4mm to 12mm is soft medium lay for ease of splicing. 14mm and larger is a medium lay to suit anchor capstan winches while still being spliceable. Ends can be heat sealed to prevent unravelling, U.V. stabilised, resistant to grease and oil. High abrasion resistance, non-absorbent with good grip for handling. Silver rope is a floating line.

BLA Sea Anchor – PVCA range of compact collapsible open ended economy sea anchors or drogues, designed to complement any boat’s safety equipment. Ideally suited to a wide range of applications and situations including slowing the vessel’s speed in a following sea or strong winds, slowing the rate of swing at anchor, slowing and controlling the wind drift rate and keeping a vessel’s direction true in tidal situations. They are not suitable for storm use. Manufactured from reinforced coated PVC with 25mm webbing reinforcements that run the length of the sea anchor for additional strength. The webbing continues at either end to create a long towing bridle and includes rope attachment loops at each end for ease of retrieval.

Commonly used for net weights, duckboard restraints, rail entry or any other application that requires excellent quality and lasting finish. Sold per metre and by the drum (sold by weight, lengths are approximate). Stainless steel chain is suitable for day anchoring but is not recommended for long term anchoring as it can work-harden the chain, making it susceptible to cracking.
