Traditional hard holding anchors with strong flukes for holding in difficult conditions. Flukes quickly dig into even hard bottom conditions and remain snug. Every anchor is equipped with a 30mm trip ring in the base. When used amongst rocks, the anchor line is commonly secured to the trip ring, with only light lashing around the line and the top ring. If snagged, a tight pull on the anchor line usually breaks the lashing, reversing the anchor to pull free.

BLA Sea Anchor – PVCA range of compact collapsible open ended economy sea anchors or drogues, designed to complement any boat’s safety equipment. Ideally suited to a wide range of applications and situations including slowing the vessel’s speed in a following sea or strong winds, slowing the rate of swing at anchor, slowing and controlling the wind drift rate and keeping a vessel’s direction true in tidal situations. They are not suitable for storm use. Manufactured from reinforced coated PVC with 25mm webbing reinforcements that run the length of the sea anchor for additional strength. The webbing continues at either end to create a long towing bridle and includes rope attachment loops at each end for ease of retrieval.

When setting the anchor the swivel prevents the chain from becoming twisted allowing for easy deployment and retrieval. A smooth overall snag free finish helps the swivel slide freely over bow rollers and deck. The captured pin can be easily removed via an allen key (included) and ensures the fastening pin will not loosen when under load. Designed specially for use with rope, the 143138 incorporates wider, smooth rounded jaws to accommodate up to 12mm rope and 10mm thimbles.
