Simrad RS40 VHF Radio with AIS
Simrad RS40 VHF Radio with AIS
Stay safe and connected with this VHF marine radio featuring a sleek design with removable fist mic, Class D DSC functionality, and built-in GPS. Keep track of nearby AIS-equipped vessels with an integrated AIS receiver, and add up to two optional wireless handsets to communicate clearly from anywhere on board.
Integrated AIS and GPS Receivers
A dual-channel AIS receiver monitors the position of nearby AIS-equipped vessels, helping you to avoid collisions in crowded harbours and waterways. AIS information can be viewed on the RS40’s built-in screen, or overlaid on your chart or radar screen through a compatible multifunction display. An integrated GPS receiver ensures your boat’s location can be sent with DSC distress calls, even if the rest of your on-board electronics are powered down.
Removable Fist Mic
The RS40’s removable fist mic can be connected to the front or rear of the radio, and optional extension cables allow the radio and mic to be mounted separately. This offers a simple and cost-effective solution for any mounting location, with no cable clutter. For example, the RS40 can be mounted overhead, with no hanging cables, while the mic is connected to an extension socket on the dash below.
Expandable with Wireless Handsets
Add an optional wireless handset to take your radio anywhere on board. The HS40 handset was designed as an intuitive portable companion to the RS40. Each handset duplicates your radio’s display and controls, enabling remote access to all key functions. Up to two wireless handsets can be connected to a single base station. With multiple handsets connected, the RS40 doubles as a handy on-board intercom.

Simrad S5100 Sounder with CHIRP
Simrad S5100 Sounder with CHIRP
The S5100 features three fully independent channels able to deliver high-resolution CHIRP sonar coverage across multiple depth ranges. Mix and match up to three transducers to provide the perfect coverage for any fishing style. Detect small or tightly grouped fish, identify thermoclines, and target specific depths with ease.
Up to Three Transducers for Ultimate Visibility
The S5100 is our first sounder module to feature three fully independent sonar channels, delivering true simultaneous coverage of up to three different depth ranges with uncompromising performance at every range. Connect three single-channel transducers, or pair one dual-channel and one single-channel, to create the perfect sonar coverage for the areas you fish and the species you target. Because all three sonar channels are completely independent, different frequency ranges can be viewed simultaneously a split-screen layout on a single display.
Sharper Target Resolution, Wider Coverage
CHIRP technology uses frequency-swept pulses to provide improved target resolution and noise rejection compared to traditional single-frequency sonar. With the S5100’s advanced CHIRP technology, you’ll see clear to the bottom with no mid-water noise or clutter. The S5100 is also compatible with Airmar’s wide‐angle CHIRP transducers; these deliver enhanced coverage of the upper water column, and are a perfect fit for targeting pelagic species. Wide-angle transducers are also useful in shallow water, where traditional narrow beam angles can provide limited bottom coverage. A wider coverage area not only speeds your search, but means individual fish targets are easier to see.
Plug-and-Play Display Compatibility
The S5100 can be used to add sonar capabilities to a modular Simrad display system, or to provide additional sonar capabilities on multifunction displays or fish finders with built-in sounder technology. High-speed Ethernet connectivity enables easy installation almost anywhere on board, on vessels of any size.
Key Features
- Three fully independent sonar channels
- High-resolution, noise-free clarity at all depth ranges
- Combine any three CHIRP frequency ranges to target multiple depths
- Compatible with wide-angle transducers for greater coverage
- Simultaneous split-screen viewing of multiple depth ranges
- Maximum depth of 3,000 metres / 10,000 feet (transducer dependent)
- Plug-and-play 9-pin transducer connectors for easy installation
