O’Brien worked continuously to hone the Baker into one of the most performance-oriented board available. Whether winching or free riding, we are constantly pushing the envelope of what is possible. These changed resulted in a lighter board that tracks and presses with greater authority. Cory Teunissen fired over some specific requests and right away we knew his signature board was going to parallel his riding… next level. Last season, Cory requested our Feather Core to reduce weight but wanted some extra kick so we placed two carbon fiber stringers in the tip and tail with impressive results. This season we’ve taken the one step further. We kept the Delta Base and 3-Stage rockerline keeping the CTP fast and edging effortlessly, but decided to run carbon the full length of the board so as the board rides up the face of the wake, it stores 100% of the energy put into it, then releases it with explosive vertical pop.

We asked Parker Siegele what he wanted in his first signature board and his bottom line was durability and amplitude. We pressed our hybrid wood and foam Fusion Core into a 5-Stage rockerline with more volume in the tip and tail, framed it in with DuraRail, and skinned it with an Impact Base before shipping it to Parker for testing. After a few minor tweaks like adding a spine along the base for softer landings and pumping up the rockerline for more height, we dialed in the perfect shape for anyone looking to challenge Parker’s technical riding.

Selecting the best frequency for your specific application
is very important. The good news is that once you know
what frequency will work best for the type of fishing you
do, there’s an AIRMAR transducer designed to maximize the
performance of your sounder.

The Chirp Advantage
Traditional sounders operate at only two discrete
frequencies – typically 50 kHz and 200 kHz. This results in
limited depth range, resolution, and ultimately what targets
can be detected in the water column.
In contrast, AIRMAR’s game-changing Chirp-ready
transducers provide over 70+ kHz of bandwidth.
Transmitting over a wide frequency band results in a
greater opportunity to detect what is in the water column.
As a result, all targets detected in the entire bandwidth will
be seen on the display–even those fish holding close to the
bottom–ultimately improving target detection, detail, and
range resolution.
Most Chirp transducers vary their beam width as they
sweep through their frequency range (low, medium, and
high). At the lowest frequency the beam is the widest and it
narrows as the frequency increases.
AIRMAR’s new wide beam Chirp transducers are the
exception to this rule and have a fixed beam width of either
25° or 40° across the frequency band. This translates into
even more coverage under the boat, revealing more fish in
