Simrad NAC-D - Digital Steering Autopilot

NAC™ -D is a digital steering autopilot solution for Electronic Vessel Control Systems (steering systems with a digital interface). It allows automatic switching between two speed profiles, delivering optimal steering performance at both low and high speeds. It comes with Continuum® steering and the new SteadySteer™ feature. With NAC -D, boaters with SeaStar® Optimus®, Yanmar® VC10/JC10, Volvo® IPS/EVC or Yamaha® helm master/single engine control systems can benefit from all the full features and performance of Simrad® autopilots.

Easy to install

Requires only the connection of two Micro-C connectors – there is no requirement for an additional hydraulic pump, rudder sensor installation or dockside rudder calibration. This saves boaters”™ time and money.

Automatic switching

Featuring Continuum® steering and support for the new SteadySteer™, the NAC -D allows automatic switching between two speed profiles delivering optimal steering performance at both low and high speeds.

Choose the controller to suit your preference from dedicated controllers like the AP™ 44 or AP 48. Simrad® autopilot systems incorporate state-of-the-art electronics and represent over 70 years of experience and development. Simrad® autopilots can reduce your workload and fatigue and improve your situational awareness and safety, helping you arrive fresher at your destination. *Steer-by-wire - digital steering, the steering signal between autopilot and actuator/pump/rudder is in the form of a digital communication protocol. **Continuum steering - an autopilot algorithm technology based on decades of development, distilling countless hours of real world on-water experience into a system you can trust to take the helm. ***SteadySteer - an autopilot functionality allowing boaters to take immediate, manual control of the vessel through turns without having to disengage the autopilot.

We deliver to most addresses within mainland Australia & Tasmania, for delivery to remote territories & internationally please contact us to arrange a quote prior to making a purchase. We normally require a street address for delivery – though if it is something small a PO Box is normally acceptable (e.g. sounder/GPS unit. If you are unsure please contact us). Unfortunately, some remote locations in Australia cannot be serviced, however Northside Marine’s carrier may be able to deliver to a local depot where you can collect your products. If you live in a remote area not regularly serviced by Australia Post please contact us to see what we can do for you. Delivery Information.

At Northside Marine we appreciate that you may have second thoughts about your purchases and will give a ‘Change of Mind’ exchange/refund if goods* are returned within 7 days. For ‘Change of Mind’ purchases, goods can only be accepted back for refund or exchange in “as sold” condition including: undamaged original packaging, complete instruction books, manuals, accessories, etc. If freight expenses of any type have been incurred, these are not refundable. Return freight to us must be covered by the customer. Prior to return of products the client must first notify us to obtain approval. Your Sales Docket must accompany all returns.

At our discretion ‘Change of Mind’ exchange/refunds may be subject to a rehandling charge.
