Compact, lightweight and built to last, the Highfield Classic 290 is a premium aluminium-hull RIB ideal as a yacht tender, ship-to-shore runabout or easy-to-handle boat for exploring sheltered waterways.
At 2.90 metres long and just 59kg boat-only, the Classic 290 is remarkably manageable while still offering room for up to four people. Its high-tensile aluminium hull features a 15° deadrise, delivering the durability and confident handling Highfield’s Classic range is known for.
This boat is specified in Hypalon (HYP) for premium tube durability and longevity, making it particularly well suited to regular use in Queensland’s sun and marine conditions. The LG-W-WD factory colour scheme combines Light Grey tubes, a White hull and White/Dark Grey detailing. The LG-W-WD configuration is one of four factory colour schemes offered for the Classic 290.
With a maximum rating of 20HP, 44cm tubes, three air chambers and a maximum load of 320kg, the Classic 290 packs plenty of capability into its compact dimensions.

Lachie has a lifelong passion for the water, shaped by his upbringing on large cruisers along the Gold Coast. Growing up in a boating family, he gained deep firsthand experience with the marine lifestyle. Over the years, he has owned numerous boats and watercraft, developing expertise in everything from jet skiing and surfing to sailing and boating.
His extensive experience with tenders and RIBs naturally led him to become a Highfield brand captain. He enjoys exploring Moreton Bay and its stunning islands with his family, always seeking new adventures on the water.
With a strong interest in technology, Lachie is committed to helping customers find the perfect product to enhance their boating experience. His enthusiasm and expertise ensure a smooth and enjoyable buying journey for every client.
