Airmar TM265LM Chirp-ready Transom Mount Transducer

The TM265LM, Chirp-ready transom mount is a perfect mid to deep-depth transducer. The huge bandwidth includes many of the most popular frequencies for targeting top gamefish. This 1 kW powerhouse delivers clear target details, bottom discrimination, as well as bait and game-fish separation at all depths.

The low-frequency band of 42 to 65 kHz provides deep-water performance down to 914 m (3000'). It is a good choice when scouting an area or fishing in deeper depths. The medium frequency from 85 to 135 kHz is excellent for identifying targets suspended close to the bottom, on structure, and within the water column.

Features:

  • Depth and fast-response water-temperature sensing
  • 1 kW of power for great deep to mid-depth performance
  • Low frequency: 42 to 65 kHz
    • 25° to 16° port-starboard beamwidth
    • Maximum depth of 914 m (3000')
  • Medium frequency: 85 to 135 kHz
    • 16° to 11° beamwidth
    • Maximum depth of 457 m (1500')
  • 73 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer
  • Covers popular fishing frequencies of 50, 88, and 107 kHz plus everything else in the bandwidths
  • Transom mount stainless steel bracket for installation on boats of all propulsion types
  • SEALCAST™, seamless, urethane housing for long life in the water
  • Also available as in-hull (M265LM), cavity/welded-tank (CM265LM), thru-hull (B265LM), and pocket (PM265LM) mounts
  • Patented Xducer ID® technology

The Benefits of AIRMAR”™s Chirp-ready Transducers

Ӣ One broadband transducer covers up to 117 kHz of bandwidth Рgreater opportunities to detect fish in the water column Ӣ Superior resolution Рprecise separation between baitfish and gamefish represented on the display with crisp images Ӣ Enhanced bottom fishing Рresolve targets close to the bottom or near structures/wrecks Ӣ Amazing detail Рrecognize haloclines and thermoclines Ӣ Improved signal-to-noise ratio Рfind fish and track bottom at high boat speeds

Benefits of Transom Mount Transducers

Transom models are best suited for small and trailered vessels where a thru-hull installation is not practical. Perfect for freshwater boat styles and centre consoles. Simple to install and ideal for small trailered vessels where a thru-hull may interfere with loading. Ӣ Simple installation on the transom of the boat Ӣ Great performance at boat speeds below 30 knots Ӣ Easy maintenance and low-cost replacement

Why does Frequency Matter?

Selecting the best frequency for your specific application is very important. The good news is that once you know what frequency will work best for the type of fishing you do, there”™s an AIRMAR transducer designed to maximize the performance of your sounder. AIRMAR Chirp transducers are available in various frequency combinations:
Dual Band:
  • Low/High (LH)
  • Low/Medium (LM)
  • Low/High Wide (LHW)
  • Low Wide/Medium (LWM)
Single Band:
  • Low
  • Medium
  • High
  • HighWide
Low Frequency = Greater Depth (ex. 42-65 kHz) Ӣ Sound waves will not present as clear a picture of the bottom on the display but will sound down in very deep areas where high-frequency sound waves cannot reach Ӣ Provides greater depth range, wider beamwidth, and ultimately more coverage under the boat Ӣ Chirp signal processing technology used with AIRMAR broadband, Chirp-ready transducers provide more detail at greater depths and are less susceptible to noise Ӣ Great for operating at high boat speeds High Frequency = Greater Detail (ex. 130-210 kHz) Ӣ More sensitive to small targets and will send back detailed information which will display as crisp, high-resolution images on the echosounder screen Ӣ Best for shallower water and is popular with anglers fishing at depths less than 1500 feet Medium Frequency = The Best of Both Worlds (ex. 80-130 kHz) Ӣ Provides the ability to sound deeper than the high frequency, along with better resolution than the low frequency Ӣ Wider beam than the high frequency, achieving more coverage under the boat and greater opportunity to find fish Ӣ Clear images at higher boat speeds
